Naturally our lives consist of an environment full of information; information which influences our actions and perceptions of life. We can observe a distinct transformation in our way of life from the onset of technology as a part of our daily existence. The nature in my art work is representative of the loss of our human-nature as a product of the abundance of information and technology which dominates our senses. The newspaper in my work symbolizes all types of information we interact with in our lives. Additionally, the book covers used in the pieces signify a different medium of information commonly used in the promotion of ideas and values. The advancement of technology is responsible for the expanding accessibility of different media of communication throughout the world. My work speaks of the consequences of the extent of this accessibility and of the influence and control of this information over our senses. I was inspired by a documentary called Happy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDkv6Mi8JrI ), which was a strong motivation for this series..
